Prague: ARTĚL Style

This is not your standard guide to Prague. Just like the original 2007 edition (which received the 2008 Independent Publisher Book Award for Best Travel Guidebook), the newly updated and expanded 2013 edition of Prague: ARTĚL Style fills an important niche in the tour book market by focusing on the kind of local “insider” information that adventurous travelers seek. Beginning with insights drawn from her nearly two decades living in Prague, ARTĚL founder / director Karen Feldman, spent a year personally visiting the city’s best hotels, spas, shops, restaurants, bars, and theaters, as well as other fun spots that are typically overlooked in other guidebooks as research for the book. The result is an unconventional insider’s guide to the best Prague has to offer from the perspective of a self-professed shopping expert. ('Look, everyone has a skill set; apparently mine includes locating, and spending money, on fabulous finds,' she notes in the book's introduction.)
Written in a conversational, first-person style, Prague: ARTĚL Style includes ideas for uniquely Czech items to buy, and offers tons of practical tips not often found in traditional guidebooks; from off-the-beaten-path dining destinations to which rooms to ask for at hotels – complemented by vintage images and betcha didn't know facts, the book embodies quirky (but chic) ARTĚL style.

This was the best guidebook I've ever bought, bar none. It was not just always in my bag during my stay in Prague - it was always in my hand!
